1st Grade Supply List
Cory Elementary

Welcome to first grade at Cory! We are excited about next year’s program and are looking forward to a wonderful school year. Please help us to establish our classroom communities by providing the following items. Most of the supplies will be collected by your teacher and distributed to the children as needed. We do this to lessen the clutter in the student desks and to increase the sense of community and the respect for the property within the classroom. NO PENCIL BOXES PLEASE. LEAVE THEM HOME FOR HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS. A backpack is needed to carry things to and from school. Please label this with your child’s name.
Please DO NOT put your child’s name on any of these items:
24 - #2 pencils (sharpened if you have a sharpener)
2 – pink erasers
6 – glue sticks
1 – Elmer’s glue bottle
1 – Mead Primary Composition book: 100 sheets; 9”x7”
1 – Steno notepad
1 – 3”x5” top spiral notebook
8 – solid colored paper folders with 2 pockets (no designs please) (4 w/ prongs in the center)
1 box of 24 colored pencils
1 box of 24 crayons
1 box of washable markers
1 package of colored dry erase markers
1 package of sticky notes 93”x3” or larger) 1 plain and 1 with lines
1 box Kleenex
1 dispenser of soft soap
1 hand sanitizer
2 containers of pop-up Lysol wipes
1 box of Ziploc gallon size bags with zipper
1 box Ziploc sandwich size bags with zipper top
1 ream of white or colored paper
Please put your child’s name on the following items:
1 pair of sharp pointed children’s scissors
1 pallet of watercolors
1 wooden ruler with both inch and centimeter markings
